Gateway is six nights away from the noise, in expanded states of consciousness where insight emerges on its own, guidance becomes accessible, and a deeper understanding of who you are begins to unfold.

It is not conceptual and it is not theoretical. It is direct, guided exploration, and it has been the Monroe Institute’s signature programme for more than fifty years. Robert Monroe called it “a voyage of self-discovery through the gateway of expanded awareness.”

Three retreats at Sanctum, three full programs, and I have turned people away from every one of them — including someone this week.

I am telling you that for one reason only: if you are waiting for the right moment, the moment is the booking, not the retreat. The rooms do not stay open.

What you will experience

• Daily guided journeys into expanded awareness, using Monroe’s Hemi-Sync® and binaural-beat technologies
• Consciousness navigation training — practical tools for reaching and holding non-physical states safely and on purpose
• The state of no time — a profound stillness where insight and inner guidance arise by themselves
• Out-of-body state preparation — a grounded framework and experiential tools for approaching the OBE state
• Facilitated debriefs and group discussion, so that what happens to you gets anchored rather than left behind at the end of the week

Why it matters who is in the room with you

The audio is the same everywhere. The programme is the same everywhere. What is not the same is who is sitting with you when something has happened that you have no words for — and over six days, it happens to nearly everybody.

I have been training Monroe programmes in Alberta since 2010, and I keep the rooms small on purpose. That is the whole point of being somewhere with other people instead of alone with a set of headphones.

• Travel to Sanctum is your own; I will help you sort a lift if you need one
