Meditation as Complementary Therapy

The Hows and Whys of Meditation as Complementary Therapy

This article will assist you if you are considering complimentary energy healing sessions as an addition to Traditional Medical treatment for an illness or disease.

As with any profession, there are energy healers who are highly trained, and those who are less highly trained. At this time, there are no guaranteed ways to know if the energy healer you have chosen is going to be helpful or not. Furthermore, there really is no concrete way of knowing an experienced energy healer from someone who is just beginning on their journey. You will need to rely on the integrity of the energy healer you have chosen to be honest with you about their experience level.

Someone who has successfully assisted hundreds or thousands of clients vs. someone who rarely practices their modality and has just opened their practice:

Then sometimes you will find an energy healer who may be just beginning on their journey as a healing practitioner. He or she may have a natural ability that outstrips a healer with lots of training, but not as much natural energy flow. Until you develop your own level of discernment, it can be expensive learning who will be helpful and who will not be.

The other factor rests solely in your hands, are you willing to accept the healing?

Someone who has strong doubts can block even the most practiced energy healer. Through the power of their own intention to “not believe” or because of a subconscious agenda to keep an illness, people can block the healing. For instance, someone who is getting extra attention due to poor health may sub-consciously not want to give up the illness. This sub-conscious belief that they are not aware of would also mean that they would have to give up the attention they are receiving when they let go of the illness.

I have personally had the experience of clients who say they are open to the gift of energy healing, only to feel them then slam the energetic door moments after the energy begins to flow into them. The opposite is also true; a strong belief can boost the ability of an energy healer considerably in your favor as you willingly allow the energy to flow to you, and accept it fully.

These steps are very useful in generating reliable and positive energy healing:

  • Energy occurs in the context of the entire person—body, mind, and spirit. The diagnostic and treatment tools of traditional and complementary medicine, high quality nutrition, positive environment, exercise, and psychological and spiritual guidance all may be powerful healing avenues. Please obtain medical attention if needed.
  • Approach healing with unconditional love, defined as love unbounded by the personality of the sender or receiver. This opens the heart, unleashing the most powerful energy from which to do healing, and softens the ego, which can restrict full energy flow.
  • Healing can transcend time/space if one believes this is possible. There is no need to be in the same physical place as the recipient for healing to be effective.
  • It is helpful for both the sender and receiver to affirm that healing can be instant and complete, or can unfold in the best way.
  • Rituals, such as a healing space and doing healing according to a methodology, can be helpful in focusing intent and creating confidence, but are not essential.
  • It is respectful to have consent. If this is not possible then ask permission from your higher self to the receiver’s higher self.
  • While you may focus on a desired outcome, also hold that the energy will result in this outcome or something better, as we do not know what is best.
  • Illness can be present for many sacred purposes including as a teacher, and as an imbalance that is being rebalanced. It has been said that the purpose of prayer is to cure illness but at times the purpose of illness might be to initiate prayer.

I love being an Outreach Facilitator with the Monroe Institute. Having attended a number of programs at TMI has shifted me in many areas of my life. From self esteem issues to levels of trusting in my own judgements. From battles with depression to feeling happiness most of the time. I have shifted from a place of not loving myself to a place where I am now capable of loving both myself and others in a more “unconditional” manner than I was ever able to achieve in the time before I attended TMI.

Wisdom is defined as deep understanding and realization of people, things, events or situations, resulting in the ability to apply perceptions, judgements and actions in keeping with this understanding. It often requires control of one’s emotional reactions (the “passions”) so that universal principles, reason and knowledge prevail to determine one’s actions. Wisdom is also the comprehension of what is true coupled with optimum judgment as to action. Synonyms include: sagacity, discernment, or insight.

Being an avid reader of many subjects involving self-improvement and being a seeker of knowledge, I have gained a lot of knowledge. Going to the Monroe Institute and being in an environment where Meditation was practiced for long periods of time I have gained much in the ways of Wisdom.

Theta and Delta ….We attain these states of mind during deep sleep. The question is… how do you achieve this state of mind during waking consciousness? More importantly, how do you use it to overcome your limitations and challenges, triumph over your unwanted habits and negative thought patterns, and enrich certain aspects of your life?

Imagine being able to rewire yourself, without spending thousands of dollars on a professional hypnotherapist.  Join me for Meditation Mondays!

Mental Energy Field and Mindsharing…Literally!

Feeling Emotions and Hearing Thoughts Through Mental Energy

Conjoined Twins that share mental energy. Their beautiful story helps me understand my own gift with mental energy and the subconscious

The Calgary Herald shared this story of twins conjoined at the head who can taste each others food, and see from each others eyes. Within their brains, they share the ability to feel each other’s bodies in specific spots.
Follow this link to lend support to this incredible family.

This unique ability demonstrated by the twins has explained something to me that I have been wondering about for most of my life.

Since I was very young, I have had the ability to feel some of the emotions of loved ones in my life.  At times even the emotions of strangers if they were strong enough. When I was younger, I had no way to distinguish which of these emotions I felt were mine, and which were from “outside” of me.

This was very confusing, to say the least.  I have spent a great deal of time and energy learning to distinguish what is my emotion from those emotions that come from others. Through learning to meditate I have learned to control this ability to a great extent and expand upon it. After going to the Monroe Institute and doing the Gateway program, I became a much better Life Coach.  This ability of mine seemed to expand to hearing some of other people’s thoughts as well as feeling some of their emotions.

As I was doing Life Coaching sessions with clients after my week at “Gateway“. I would be discussing issues with a client and I would say something to my client and the client would ask:

“How do you know that?” and I would say… “You told me”.

The client would then say that they had not told me that…

It was terribly confusing at first.  I would hear their voice telling me certain facts, pertinent to whatever “issue” we were discussing.

As this was happening on a regular basis, I began to understand that something else had happened during my Gateway program that was totally unexpected. Somehow, I expanded on my natural ability to feel other’s emotions to be able to “Hear” some thoughts.

The abilities that these twins demonstrate,  to be able to “Tune in” to each other’s brains,  is something that I believe we all possess to one degree or another.

  • The ability to “feel” the energy that is present when we walk into a room, (i.e someone was just having a fight with a co-worker in the kitchen)  Although we might not have heard any words, we can feel the “energy” still vibrating in the room.
  • Meeting someone new and just “knowing” that you are going to become great friends or not.

I believe that each of us is able to connect with others in ways that may seem Mystical. Learning to meditate and gain control of our own mental abilities grants us an even greater possibility to be able to develop this ability that we all possess.

Since we are all connected through the fabric of “the field” of energy within which we all live, with the proper skills and motivation I believe it is possible to do seemingly miraculous things. Energy healers can heal others through their intention and skill just as much as Physicians can heal the physical bodies of patients with broken bones, diseased organs or other physical maladies.

My specialty seems to be working with people’s thoughts and mental energies.  We all have these three components to us:

  • Physical (Body)
  • Mental (Mind)
  • Energetic (Spirit)

It is not possible for a healthy individual to leave one part out of the equation. All three need to function together.  All are important to living a life to our fullest abilities.

With one piece out of alignment, the other two pieces have a difficult time remaining balanced or “Whole”.

I would love to hear from you if you might wish to work on healing some part of your mental energy field.  Leave a comment or email me at beth@bethhaley.com

What to Eat? …. Consider the Vibration of Food. – by Jackie Rafter, BEd, MBA, RHN, FDN

What to Eat?… Consider The Vibration of Food

If you have ever been on a quest to increase your intuitive capabilities, get healthy, lose weight, feel better or live longer, it’s time to start thinking about the food you eat.

Whatever we put in to our body not only affects our health, but it also affects our thoughts, actions and physiological processes. This is because all food has a “vibration” or frequency.

http://www.bethhaley.com/coaching

Healthy Food increases your vibration

Technically, vibration has been measured in numerous ways such as by muscle testing, pendulums (Bovis units), by the energy of bioelectricity (hertz), etc. But the bottom line is that the more “wholesome” the food, the more natural the environment it was produced in and the “higher the intention” was when it was raised, grown, made or packaged, the higher the food will “vibrate”.

Why should you care?

Because optimum health can only be created with optimally vibrating nutrients. This becomes even more interesting when we consider that our thoughts, actions and behavior are usually commensurate with the frequency of nutrients we put into our bodies. When we consider that every system, organ and cell in our body is produced by the food that we eat, we can’t expect a very “highly vibrating” society that was raised on a diet of pop, chips and fast food all created with the intention of mass production and economic gain. The amount of unrest, disease and premature aging in the world today is a testament to this.

So what raises or lowers our cellular ‘frequency’? Here are some basic guidelines:
1. Whole foods that are locally and organically grown and in season have a higher vibration. They also help to reduce hidden stressors from our body and maximize nutrient value so that we actually need LESS of it – and dis-ease has a tougher time hanging around!
2. Avoid genetically modified, microwaved foods. These have had the “life force” stripped from them and can actually toxify our body, harm our DNA and contribute to unwanted weight gain.
3. Anything processed or packaged (junk food), refined (white flout/rice), hydrogenated (margarine, vegetable shortening), containing chemical additives or food preservatives (interferes with hormone production), low quality supplements (negative benefit) or artificial sweeteners (neurological damage) all have a very low frequency. Many of these products also raise “xenoestrogens” which have been linked to reproductive cancers in women as well as the femininization of the male population.
4. Eating too much, eating “on the run” or eating when emotionally upset makes it very difficult for us to appreciate what we are consuming and often results in “unconscious eating” which can pack on weight, make us feel sick (because we are “absorbing the emotion” we ate with) and subsequently lower our own vibration. It also increases stress which lowers our immune function.
5. Prescription or over the counter drugs do not only interfere with the health of our bodies (especially our liver), but they immediately have a very acidifying effect on the body.
6. Eating in a quiet and peaceful environment, listening to soothing music, eating in moderation, expressing gratitude for our food or visualizing white light around it and enjoying our meals among wonderful, humorous and happy company all raise our vibration.

When we lower our vibration, our immune system weakens and disease in the form of infections, viruses, fungus and bacteria all find it easier to take residence in our bodies. This, in turn, creates an added toxic load that affects our mind and our emotions as well as on our personality, thinking, decisions, career potential and even spiritual capabilities.

I usually tell my clients that if they are interested in achieving optimum nutrition, that in an ideal world, they should NOT eat anything that wasn’t available 100 years ago. Now although this is a bit optimistic, it will give you a place to start.

So the choice is really up to you… next time you consider where you want to go, what you want to achieve or the kind of life or body you’d like to create, think about the energy that is put in to that food. If we even get 1% of the population paying to the attention of the vibration of their food, we will get HEALTH BREAKING OUT out versus DISEASE BREAKING OUT.. now wouldn’t that be a nice wish for the universe…?J
